4 Things I'm Excited to do in England

And just like that, my first trip of 2024 is on the books and it's a sweet one: I'm heading back to England with my husband to spend some much-needed time with his family at the end of this month.

I love that falling in love with a guy from England in New York City 10 years ago now gives me a built in excuse to travel to Europe regularly. And no matter how many times we come back, there's always so much to do. Here's what I'm looking forward to most:

Tottenham vs. Brentford

Very excited to be attending my first Premier League football game in London. I can't wait to eat snacks, try to learn all the chants and watch Callum (my husband) absolutely panic while watching his favorite team live.

Harrod's

At laaaaaaaaaaaaaast. I have been wanting to visit this iconic department store for probably the majority of my life, but I've never been able to make my schedule work when I've been passing through London. But this time, this glorious time, nothing can keep from browsing every inch of this store. Will I be in here for 2.5 hours and only buy chocolate and a candle? Probably. But I'll have a great time.

Mayfair

I've had my eye on the trendy Mayfair neighborhood in London for a while now, so I'm jumping on the chance to have dinner somewhere fun. I've got a few places in mind and will report back with what we decide and how it is.

Shopping up North

My husband is actually from a town close to Manchester called Colne, so after a night in London we'll be heading about four hours north for the rest of the trip. And when I'm not catching up with our fam, there's a high chance I'll be shopping. The first place I'm hitting up is called Boundary Mill, which I'd liken to a giant TJ Maxx full of sweet British grandmas. It is bliss. Next I'll be dragging Callum to the Cheshire Oaks outlets because she loves a deal.

All in all this feels like a wonderful start to a new year of travel adventures. I'll be back with a recap soon!

xoxo,

Nicole
